Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Managed Services to lead the growth and development of a high-performing services function within a global technology and AV solutions environment.
This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of strategy, revenue growth, service innovation and client engagement. You will play a key part in transforming managed services into a scalable, productised and high-margin recurring revenue stream, while maintaining exceptional service delivery standards across enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
- Define and deliver the managed services growth strategy aligned to wider commercial objectives
- Drive new business and account expansion, converting project-led clients into long-term service contracts
- Identify target sectors and develop tailored service propositions
- Own revenue, margin, utilisation and overall commercial performance
Service Development & Productisation
- Design, package and price scalable managed service offerings
- Develop clear value propositions, ROI models and SLA frameworks
- Own the services roadmap, including automation and innovation initiatives
- Ensure services are repeatable, measurable and commercially viable
Client Engagement
- Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across key enterprise accounts
- Identify opportunities for growth within existing clients
- Lead client reviews, governance meetings and strategic engagement
- Support bids, tenders and contract renewals
Leadership & Commercial Oversight
- Lead and develop a high-performing managed services/commercial team
- Set targets, manage performance and support career development
- Align closely with sales, operations and technical teams to drive growth
- Own forecasting, budgeting and pipeline development
Operational Performance
- Work with delivery teams to ensure SLA performance and service excellence
- Monitor utilisation, coverage and operational efficiency
- Develop scalable resourcing strategies across internal teams and partners
- Oversee reporting, financial tracking and revenue performance

- Strong growth in recurring managed services revenue

- Proven senior leadership experience within managed services, technology services or solutions-led environments
- Strong track record of growing and productising service offerings
- Commercially astute with ownership of revenue and profitability
- Confident engaging at C-suite level within enterprise organisations
- Data-driven, strategic and operationally credible
- Collaborative leader with the ability to influence across multiple functions
